Car parks, roads and nature strips

To occupy a council car park, road or footpath for a while, Latrobe City needs a permit first, and occupation of parking bays is one of its permit categories (Latrobe City Council). Parking the truck on the nature strip is not an option: the council says it is not authorised to give a permit for that (Latrobe City Council). On a rushed moving day, the driveway or a legal kerbside space is the place to load.

November's hard waste rounds

The 2026 annual hard waste collection comes to Morwell in the week starting Monday 16 November and to Traralgon Central a week later, from Monday 23 November (Latrobe City Council). Owners and renters in the collection areas can both use it without booking. Up to two cubic metres goes on the nature strip, on the weekend before or by 6am on the Monday of the collection week at the latest. Moving out before the round reaches your street? See small moves and single items for the pieces you keep.

Hand unloading only

The Morwell Transfer Station is at 73 Porter's Road off Tramway Road and the Traralgon one at 1 Liddiard Road. Neither has tipping facilities, so everything comes off by hand (Latrobe City Council). Allow extra time for a full trailer.
